Best of 2014

Jan 28, 2015

2014 was an absolute whirlwind year for us here at KDP, and as we take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite images of the past 12 months, we find ourselves feeling both proud and incredibly grateful. While we shot more weddings, events, and portrait sessions and worked harder than we ever have before, it still seems more like a privilege than a task to be able to do what we love for a living.

Being responsible for documenting the biggest day of a person’s life can feel like a lot of pressure, but I cannot stress enough how easy all of our couples have made it for us. I’d like to thank you all for letting us into your lives. For treating us like family. For having such incredible attitudes and personalities. For allowing us to enjoy the fun times as well as be present for the intimate family moments. For being patient and going with the flow. For helping us try our wild photography ideas, even when it seemed outside of your comfort zone or was raining or snowing or downright cold. You trusted us and did so with a smile on your faces and for that, we thank you.

This crazy opportunity has taken us so many places and given us such unforgettable experiences. This year we went all over New York State, from Lake George to the Finger Lakes, from Saratoga to NYC. We’ve shot on boats and at castles. We’ve even spent spectacular holidays like Independence Day and New Year’s Eve with our cameras intently clicking away. We met so many wonderful new people in 2014, and we can’t wait to do it all over again. Until then, enjoy our Best of 2014 recap…
